HOW CAN WE TURN 2D MATERIALS INTO 3D ENGINEERING PROJECTS?

Explore the creative possibilities where art meets technology! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll combine 3-D paper engineering, textiles, and simple circuits to design interactive, light-up greeting cards. Experiment with pop-up structures, fabric and stitching, and LED lights to create a card that’s both artistic and interactive.

Objectives:

• Learn the basics of paper circuits and how to create a switch

• Experiment with pop-up strategies and 3D paper engineering

• Integrate hand sewing and embroidery

• Build a finished greeting card(s) to take home
