HOW CAN YOU TRANSFORM YARN, STRING & THREAD INTO UNIQUE WORKS OF ART ?

Explore the creative possibilities of fiber, yarn, and thread. Participants will experiment with different techniques such as knotting yarn into a colorful bracelet, looping string on a circular loom, and exploring coding to create a digital design to be stitched with an embroidery machine.

Objectives:

• Create a yarn bracelet using straws as a simple loom

• Use a circular loom and yarn to create unique string art designs

• Explore coding and stitching by creating designs for an embroidery machine
