Background Checks Are Available from Sterling Volunteers

Team Managers

All DI Team Managers are required to obtain a Level 2 background check from Sterling Volunteers which cost $17.00 annually.
A background check will be run every month for a year.

Team managers can obtain background checks in two ways. If you have lived outside of California you may be better off purchasing your background check from the Destination Imagination Store. The price is $25.00. If you have lived in California for many years, you are better off purchasing you background check from Sterling Volunteers directly

Purchase from Destination Imagination

Go to the Destination Imagination Store, and follow the instructions for purchasing a background check.  Once you have obtained a background check from them, you will need to share it with California Destination Imagination. This option is only available to Team Managers.

Purchase Directly from Sterling Volunteers

Go to the Sterling Volunteers Website.  Follow the instructions to purchase a background check.  You will be asked for a Good Deed Code.  The code for California Destination imagination is whwpnte.  If you have lived outside of California, you may be charged and extra fee depending on how much the municipality you lived in charges.  In order to access the Challenges, you will also need to share you background check with Destination Imagination.  Information on how to share with them can be found at How to Share the results of my background check.
