Pathways Program

Designed to prepare 3-6 year olds
with a jump start in Literacy as well as
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) concepts, while promoting critical and creative thinking skills.

PATHWAYS teaches the creative process from Imagination to Innovation through a process called “inquiry-guided” group learning, helping even the youngest students deal with new material or equipment
Parent involvement is encouraged through the take-home activities

PATHWAYS is designed to teach STEM and Literacy to the very young learners. For classrooms where the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) is used, PATHWAYS will aid teachers in the “Instructional Support” domain. Professional PATHWAYS Trainers are available.


PATHWAYS includes:
  • A curriculum notebook containing 16 themes
  • 5 Activities for each themeEach Activity requires 15 to 30 minutes
  • Teacher Guidance for each theme
  • A materials listing for each theme
  • An adult and child activity for each theme
  • 10 feedback loop questions for each theme10 transitions for each theme

The Destination Imagination (DI) Experience!

Destination Imagination (DI) is a global program that promotes problem solving, teamwork, and creativity in students. Teams of up to seven students choose a challenge to work creatively and collaboratively to find a solution. Teams present their team challenge solutions by performing a skit in front of an audience and appraisers. The team challenges emphasize Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). In addition, the DI experience exposes students to instant challenges that give students practice in rapid thinking, design, planning, and executing. In DI, the solution belongs to the team members and the team members alone. All ideas, scenery, scripts, and props are created by the team members. No one outside the team may help in any way with the solution to the challenge. Team members sign a contract prior to every tournament stating that the solution is theirs and no one outside the team helped. Rising Stars teams have modified guidelines for interference rules.
